8mm 4mm Wire High-End finishes ProRig Fork Terminal Jaw/Swage - 316 Grade Stainless Steel
ProRig vs Economy - ProRig, and ProRail products are subjected to stringent quality control procedures and extra polishing processes. The Shady Ladies will always recommend the ProRig range, as you can not compare the quality of these products and they will always stand the test of time against other products. If you are working on a budget, we also have our High-Quality Economy Range available. The Economy Range continues to offer high-breaking loads but is not subjected to stringent quality control procedures and extra polishing processes that are applied to the ProRig and ProRail products.
The machine polished matte finish is utilized for its durability, low maintenance, and overall aesthetically appealing look.

FAQ about this system:
Can I install this system myself? Yes, even someone with no experience can easily install all our wire balustrade systems. We even have a simple step by step instructions available to view or download, click on the instructions tab for details.
Do I need any special tools?
Purchasing Factory Swaged Wires: If purchasing the pro-sert System factory swaged your wires will arrive at your door manufactured to you exact lengths and you will only require common handyman tools such as an electric drill, drill bits, and a hex head drive bit to install. We also recommend the use of a prorig multi-tool for easier installation.
Purchasing Components Only: If purchasing the pro-sert System components only, you will require a hydraulic press (in addition to common handyman tools) to correctly swage the components to the wire. Contact your local supplier for details on this. We also recommend the use of a pro rig multi-tool for easier installation.
What size and type of stainless steel wire do I use? This method is recommended for use with 3.2mm 1 x 19 - 316-grade stainless steel wire rope. This wire is the most functional for stainless steel wire balustrade systems due to its bright surface finish, attractive appearance, durability, strength, and low stretch. To ensure a high-quality finish to your balustrade we recommended the use of ultra high-quality pro-rig wire
What spacing do I need between my wires? When using 3.2mm 1 x 19 stainless steel wire, you will usually need 80mm spacing (usually 11 runs) between your wires when using a standard one (1) meter high handrail (960mm to the underside) with 1200-1500mm post spacing. This is only a general guide, please visit our regulations section for detailed information on the current NCC Regulations.
Can I use this balustrade system on a stair or angled section? Yes, the Pro-Sert System can be used on a stair or angled sections as long as the Threaded Inserts are inserted into your timber posts at the same angle as the stair or ramp section. Please note: It is recommended you prepare a drilling jig to assist with drilling your pilot hole.
What size pilot hole should I drill for my Threaded Inserts? You will require a 7.5mm hole to a depth of at least 40mm. Countersink the hole using a CSK-12 ½ Inch Quick bit Countersink Bit to allow the threaded inserts to sit flush with your posts.
What is the maximum length run I can do? The Pro-Sert System can easily span up to 10 meters. Longer swage studs can be used to achieve longer runs. Please contact your supplier for further information prior to ordering.
What size hole should I drill through my intermediate posts? A 7.5mm hole through your intermediate posts will allow the swage stud to pass through. Please note: If you are using grommets, the required drill size is 11/32" at a depth of at least 10mm from each side.
Can I take my balustrade wire around corners? It is not possible with this system to take the balustrade wire around corners.
Can I use this system if I have timber posts? Yes.
Can I use this system if I have metal posts? No, however, the ProRig Original Design PN1 Pro-Nut System suits metal posts and will give your balustrade a similar look.
