The Outdoor Shop Australia Pty Ltd is a proudly women-run Australian business, established in 2014 and is based in Woy Woy on the Central Coast of NSW. Trading as The Shade Sail Shop.
We import, supply, source, and manufacture a wide range of outdoor, shade, landscape and commercial product solutions for clients across Australia and World-Wide.
With many years of hands-on experience in the shade industry, we have strong product knowledge across shade sail fabrics, commercial shade cloth, PVC materials, stainless steel fittings, industrial webbing, sewing, fabrication and installation accessories. We work closely with trusted Australian and international manufacturers to source quality products that suit the job, the environment and the client’s desired outcome
Our role is more than just supplying products. We often work like a sourcing and solutions partner for commercial clients, helping them understand suitable options across shade sails, stainless steel hardware, webbing, outdoor covers, landscape products and custom-made items. Where possible, we support Australian-made manufacturing and can also help source specialised products for commercial, trade and procurement requirements.
We have experience supplying to a wide range of sectors, including mines, government departments, schools, education providers, builders, landscapers, shade sail installers, marine businesses and commercial buyers. Our stainless steel product range includes quality fixings and hardware, with product information such as material grade, finish and breaking load ratings available where applicable.
Procurement managers, estimators, project managers and commercial buyers are welcome to contact us to discuss product options, stainless steel fittings, shade sail materials, industrial webbing, custom manufacturing and supply requirements. We are happy to share our knowledge, ask the right questions and help source practical, reliable products for each project.

The Shady Ladies warehouse is located on the Central Coast of NSW. Customers are welcome to visit us by arrangement to view our products, collect orders or speak with us about shade sails, stainless steel hardware, landscape products and outdoor solutions.

Can I pick up my order
Yes. Orders can be collected from our warehouse Tuesday to Friday, 9:00am to 3:00pm.
Please contact us before visiting so we can make sure your order is organised and ready for collection.
Are your prices in Australian dollars?
Yes. All prices on our website are listed in Australian Dollars, AUD.
Do international customers pay GST?
International customers do not pay Australian GST on eligible purchases.
Please ensure you select the correct country or tax region at checkout. When your order is set to an international location, GST should be removed from eligible shade sails and shade sail fixing accessories.

Will my shade sail be one piece of material or joined?
The width of the shade sail fabric is a standard 3 meters. If you order a shade sail over 3 meters in width then your shade sail will have a seam. (3x5,3x6,3x7,3x8 will have no seams) (3.5x5m, 4x5m 4x6m, etc will have seams)
How will I receive my parcel?
We ship orders using Australia Post and selected courier services. International orders may be shipped using Express Courier International or another suitable international delivery service.
A signature may be required on delivery. If you are not home when delivery is attempted, the carrier may leave a card with collection or redelivery instructions.
Please note: if you request Authority to Leave and your parcel is left unattended, this may void transit insurance if the parcel is lost or stolen after delivery.
When will my parcel arrive?
Once your order has been dispatched, tracking details will be sent to you by email where available.
Please check your junk or spam folder if you have not received your tracking email, as tracking notifications can sometimes end up there. If you still cannot locate your tracking details, please contact us and we will be happy to help.
It has passed the ETA and I still have not got my parcel.

Is my parcel insured?
Yes. For your peace of mind, your parcel is insured while it is in transit.
If your parcel is deemed missing by the courier company, we will assist with the claim process and arrange a replacement where applicable.
Please note: if you request Authority to Leave and the parcel is left unattended, this may void transit insurance if the parcel is lost or stolen after delivery.
Can I exchange my item?
Australian customers may be able to exchange eligible items under our returns policy.
You will be required to pay any price difference between the original item and the replacement item, as well as any applicable delivery costs.
Shade sails being returned for exchange must be in original, clean, dry and unused condition. They must be free from dirt, debris, marks and damage. If a shade sail is returned in poor condition, additional cleaning, handling or replacement costs may apply, or the exchange may not be accepted.
Custom-made, special-order, cut-to-size or manufactured items cannot usually be cancelled, exchanged or refunded once materials have been ordered or production has commenced, unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
Can I amend my order?
If your order has not yet been dispatched or placed into production, we may be able to amend it.

Our Shady Lady™ ready-made shade sails are made from HDPE high-density polyethylene knitted shade cloth, using quality tape and yarn construction.
The fabric is approximately 280gsm and provides around 95% UV protection, making it suitable for Australian outdoor conditions.
Our ready-made shade sails are designed with reinforced corners, perimeter webbing and stainless steel fittings for a stronger, more reliable finish.
How are the measurements of the shade sail taken?
Our shade sails are measured from fixing point to fixing point, generally from buckle to buckle or D-ring to D-ring, depending on the product style.
Shade sails are designed with curved edges to help achieve correct and even tensioning. Because of this taper, the sail will pull in through the centre and the finished coverage across the middle will be less than the outer measurement.
Depending on the size and shape of the sail, you may lose approximately 300mm to 500mm across the centre. Please keep this in mind when ordering. If you have room to adjust your fixing points, we often recommend going up a size to achieve better coverage.
