Monotec 370 Series is one of our most trusted and recommended fabrics here at The Shade Sail Shop. Designed and manufactured in Australia, it sets the benchmark for strength, durability, and UV protection, making it a favourite of The Shady Ladies™ and our customers alike.

We love this fabric not only for its exceptional performance, but because it’s the only shade cloth on the market available in a massive 6500mm width, making it ideal for large spans and commercial projects with minimal joins.

Trusted Protection, Tested for the Harshest Conditions

Monotec 370 Series is the only shade cloth of its kind made entirely from round monofilament yarn, providing outstanding strength and longevity. It’s tested using UV index meters approved by the Cancer Council and ARPANSA, with results typically placing users in the low UV index category (0–2) – an exceptional result in sun safety.

Whether you’re shading a backyard, school, playground, or commercial project, Monotec 370 is engineered to perform. It’s what we choose for many of our custom and large-scale installations when only the best will do.

The UV index & How Do I Interpret the Readings?

If measurements show that the UV index is below 3, then sun protection measures are usually not required. Any time the UV index show 3 or above, or you are spending more than an hour outside, you should consider the 5 sun protection measures to reduce your UV exposure and reduce your risk of skin cancer.
